My May Garden – and a tribute to Steve from Green Side Up

I can’t believe it’s almost June – so just in time, I’m showing you my May garden as it is growing like mad.

We lost Steve from Green Side Up last week and this video is dedicated in his memory and I want to share a few memories I have of him.

You can see Steve’s videos on his channel here @GreenSideUp https://www.youtube.com/@GreenSideUp

  1. We will never forget Steve. I'm going to plant a Shirley tomato plant in his memory every year from now on. The banter between Tony and Steve over the Shirley tomatoes made me laugh and every time I plant one it will be a happy memory of Steve. ❤️

  2. Your garden plants are looking good. It seems the week or so before you can actually plant those in the greenhouse outside is the hardest to wait. It's been in the low 80s here with 'normal' humidity. Being from the South, you remember what that's like. I was introduced to Steve's videos only a few months ago and enjoyed watching them. I'm sure he's still with you and watching over all of 'his' Steve plants and making sure they're OK. I'm sending you a long distance hug!

  3. Such a lovely tribute to Steve ❤ Your garden is looking amazing! So much going on and growing healthy. I hope you have very abundant harvests this year.

  4. A lovely moving tribute to Steve, thank you for that. I too have a flower bed in his memory, at the moment it has sunflowers and sweet peas in and a few Calendula and nasturtiums. I have dahlias, echinacea and rudbeckia still to go in I'm just waiting for the Tulips to die back to make room. I took Steves advice and this last Winter I planted seeds in my greenhouse and for the first time ever I had lettuce pak choi and carrots growing happily despite the cold spell that we had. Steves legacy will live on in our memories and gardens.
