Square Foot Gardening Template | Maximize your Garden Space! #template #gardening #sfg

Today we are early getting planting our outdoor garden in zone 4b using the square foot gardening tool. The square foot gardening method has been easy and takes the guesswork out of spacing. I love this tool.

I used this tool/method in my greenhouse and in my garden last year. It was so beneficial.

Below is how you can also get one of these tools to maximize your gardening space! It is an affiliate link so a small stipend comes back to the farm.

  1. Hello Lisa. I'm excited to see how things grow with this method. 🌱 Thank you for showing your process. I hope you get lots of veggies. Happy Growing.

  2. Good morning Lisa! I am so excited to spend some time with you this morning! I am looking forward to seeing you do this! I want to do the square foot gardening tool since I have a small garden!

  3. I am experimenting this year too…with some seeds directly into the ground! I just ordered the square foot tool using your link…hope you are an affiliate. I have had it in my cart for 2 years…it is time!! I am so excited. I bought a couple raised beds and I will be planting this weekend! You know how the frost is here! My garden won't be large this year but it will be a fun experimental year!

  4. I have to a degree. But haven't bought the tool. I just eyeball it lol Mostly use it with small things like carrots. But this last go I just scattererd seeds instead of trying to plant 1 carrot seed per hole. With things like peas and beans, I usually just do a double row if I'm planting thick.

  5. How exciting to get your plants in the ground.🌱
The square foot gardening template looks handy to have.
I'm so happy the Bok Choy seeds grew nicely! ☺️

  6. That’s pretty cool! I wondered how it compared to Mel Bartholomew’s square foot garden spacing recommendations and it is the same spacing in the template. 🙌
Holy cow your broccoli is huge and look so healthy.
    Great video Lisa!

  7. I'm in 6A and we expect our last frost the first week of June, as well. Very cool way of planting. I haven't tried this method yet. Perhaps I should. Thanks for showing us how to do this.

  8. Your starts in the jugs look good to me. But yes, the indoor starts do look better. Good luck with your beans experiment! If I ever get enough growing space ready I want to try a square foot planter tool.

  9. I love your garden space! The panels, the flags, and what a fun tool! So how you started your plants…. A friend JUST TODAY shared some starts from this same method!

  10. That looks like a super handy tool for square foot gardening! I "over plant" most of my vegetables and have pretty great results usually, lol.

  11. Sounds like a plan ! I have a load of shade in my yard too where nothing but moss grows. That seeding square is awesome !!

  12. This is awesome Lisa, I remember you having that template last year, they are great assets!! Well done lovely!! I can’t wait to see how your season goes, you’ve worked so hard and you’ve grown so much!! Excited for you lovely!! 💐🌸💓 Xxoo

  13. I've never used that tool. It'll be interesting to see how the beans produce on clumps versus a long row. I think the winter sowing is not great for us (up north). Looks like you've got a good, organized set of gardens this year! I hope the weather cooperates!!
