HOUSE TOUR: Inside an Art-Filled Virginia Home with Sprawling Gardens

On today’s episode of Homeworthy, we’re bringing you to Northern Virginia for a look into Jacqueline Bond’s especially charming 1950’s home. With sprawling grounds and expansive living spaces, the home was love at first sight for Jacqueline and her husband after living in DC for a decade.

As co-founder of publishing and art house Bond and Grace, Jacqueline’s home is ever-evolving with her artistic collaborations on rotational display. Bursts of color carry a cheerful atmosphere throughout the home, while an edited curation of vintage furnishings brings Jacqueline’s personal touch into each space. A spice garden and serene outdoor living space sit upon two acres of land, where Jacqueline frequently hosts fabulous events, soirees and family gatherings. Enjoy!

  1. What a wonderful homeowner. I can see why they fell in love with the property. Her home is just stunning and so comfortable and livable. Thanks so much for sharing.

  2. Beautiful home and decor ❤️😊 Love the table and the black upholstered chairs,so beautiful ❤️❤️ Love the basket filled with flowers ❤❤ and the boat coffee table is beautiful along with the submarine table, so beautiful ❤️❤️ Beautiful backyard and decor ❤️🙂 Thanks for sharing ❤️😊

  3. As beautiful as these large homes and expansive grounds are, I wish Homeworthy would feature a cottage or a smaller home that the average person (like me) can more closely identify. I love this home and the beautiful artwork. As a former first-grade teacher, I'm always fascinated to see how people hold their pens/pencils. As a side note, I also love wax seals but my local postmaster told me they will no longer accept them and will be returned to me.

  4. This house is absolutely amazing! I will never live in a 3.8 million dollar mansion, but if I did, this would be it!

  5. Love this house. Especially the very soothing pale colours – just what I like.

  6. Hope this doesn't sound weird but Jacqueline brought tears to my eyes a few times. She is so humble, lovely and her home is perfection. She is clearly passionate about her life and that is so refreshing.

  7. Jaqueline , you have a beautiful and very interesting home ! It is not cookie cutter ! Just gorgeous ! I love that you publish books as my dad is a retired English professor abs one of my brothers is an English professor ! I love , love the color you use throughout the home , I love color !!

  8. LOVED this episode so much. Jacqueline is so inspiring and lovely. What a gorgeous home and so thoughtfully and beautifully decorated! Cheers!

  9. Amazing house and property!, probably one of my all-time favorites. Wonder how many square feet, bedrooms, baths etc? Love her publishing idea, I shared the link with my daughter because I know they are kindred spirits. Jacqueline is all of the wonderful things people mentioned below and more! I too would love to see the house in 10 years after she finds and loves pieces to add – it is a large house to make your own! How fun!

  10. Very nice; nice to see a young person take an interest in her home and enter training. Well done; thank you.

  11. Jacqueline and her husband have created a beautiful home. It’s not my style but she’s done a beautiful job. I love those outdoor dining chairs! It’s generous of Jacqueline to share the artists names and where she bought her pieces throughout her home. It was a little odd to see a diaper changing area in the family room. I love Jacqueline’s attitude that her home isn’t just for she and her family but that they’ve created a space for others as well. I really enjoyed this tour.👏🏻

  12. Beautiful home but white rugs and furniture and also wanting your house to feel homey and comfortable for guests seem to contradict.

Ah! Even white furniture in the backyard?!

  13. I love this homeowner. She’s real and has no pretense about her. Does she live far beyond what most of us can afford…probably but she’s not stuffy and pretending to be someone she’s not. As for the changing area… she has it downstairs where she can easily access it and anyone who has had a baby knows it would be insane to have to run upstairs every time Miss Lila needs changing. Speaks to this young lady being a good mother & attentive to her baby’s needs before decorating. Kudos to this young couple for creating a home full of love, beauty and welcome to all.

  14. This 50s built renovated home & structure is BEAUTIFUL! Nothing special about her home decorating. The home itself is just beautiful.

  15. Thanks for the tour of your lovely home. I hope you get to live in it forever and keep adding treasures to it. Your baby is so pretty!

  16. I like her home, it’s beautiful of course, but her and everything else isn’t rooted into any kind of reality, but then again she has ONE child so I guess I can relate??? (not really) Anyway, yeah…..
