Knowing What’s Growing: Garlic Mustard #garden #gardening #shorts

This is garlic mustard. An invasive plant in many parts of North America, including in my own garden! I battled this last year and was pretty successful in getting rid of most of it by pulling them all by the roots before they went to seed. That will be your best bet to get rid of this plant. Unless of course, you want to eat it! This is an edible plant and the leaves, flowers and root have a distinct garlic and mustard flavor. Despite being edible, it is harmful to other
plant life around it, in part due to the chemicals it releases which can inhibit the growth of plants around it.
