Hello All! Was looking to get some advice out there on setting up something like this on my property. I have a bunch of stripped logs I haven’t gotten to mill yet and saw this design online and thought it looked mighty nice for the outdoor kitchen I’ve always wanted. I was hoping to get some input on these block foundations if anybody has any experience with em. Like is it a pier and beam type set up with a fancy block around it? Or just a block of concrete set atop the ground? Only really have done pier type and floating type foundations with prior builds. Any and all advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance and have a safe memorial day weekend!

You frame out the general shape and then use wire to enclose it, place rocks and pour your cement/concrete whatever you are using.

Could also use this video as reference.

Build it up, stick in the brace in the wet cement and you’re good to go after it cures.

I’d be willing to bet those are man-made stones that are just attached to a concrete base.

Mr chickadee did something very similar to this on YouTube.

He basically did it on a single stone instead of a bunch but I think it’s what you want

Unfortunately I don’t have time to look for it right now because I am almost done with my break but once I get home, I’ll look for it (unless someone else posted a link to it)
