Filipino Weekend Lunch, Seafood City Grocery Haul and Backyard Garden Harvest

Filipina in Los Angeles Vlog | Food, Seafood City Grocery Haul and Backyard Garden Harvest | A typical Filipino meal – fish, vegetables and rice. For the fish, I broiled pompano and then garnished with lemon slices and oregano from the backyard garden. The mixed vegetables is called “laswa” made with kabocha squash, string beans, okra and shrimp. For dinner, I made a popular Persian stew called ghormeh sabzi, a slightly different version – with okra.

The harvest – lemons, oregano, blueberries and sugar snap peas.

  2. I just planted snap peas. I hope they look as good as yours. The fish looks amazing with the fresh lemon and oregano. I’ve never cooked with okra, I should really try.
