  1. Great tips and the only thing I would add is that sometimes when ordering a plant online the soil is completely wrong for it. I have had plants that within one week of getting them I have to go into emergency mode to save it. I have one this especially with Hoya.

  2. I purchased this plant twice and both times I went running back to the store with them because my suspicion of pests were accurate. Please check for thrips.

  3. Hello from Puerto Rico!! First timer on your channel and just subscribed. My channel is in spanish but can be captioned. Good advice!!! πŸͺ΄πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ©πŸ’šπŸŒΏ I use diluted Neem oil with Castile soap…so far, so good.

  4. Amanda: Great info as always. "Full Sun" (as is stated on the care tags) is very subjective. With season changes, I am moving several plants into my eventual growing room. Aloha! πŸͺ΄

  5. Yes! I love Lowe's for their variety of plants BUT most of the ones I have gotten from them have been soaking wet. I always have to give them almost a week to 10 days for them to dry out.

  6. I bought a homalomena thinking it was an aglaonema too πŸ˜… I found out the hard way lol. If you can figure out how to grow them they are just so beautiful, mine hated dry soil and def no direct sun. Good luck with yours 😊

  7. Our big box store plants are always soaking wet. I’ve poured standing water off the top before. If I buy one, I just lift it out of the pot and plop it into a terra cotta pot. That seems to dry out the soil pretty fast for me.
