Yet another plant that does a dance – the avocado’s leaves move up and down each day. Here I have also captured how pruning promotes branching: when you cut the central tip, the second and third leaves become the new growing tips. When those are cut too, the tiny leaves near the top awaken and eventually took over. Yes, pruning will drastically alter the shape of a plant but that’s how it carries on. Your plants are living things that keep changing just like a dog will not go back to being a puppy.
