Pests destroyed my canes last year (red shouldered cane borer), so cut everything down to the ground, took the opportunity to reorganize my garden too, moving my blackberries (Triple Crown). This is what the roots look like (my size 11 boot for size). Thing’s a beast ! What I thought of as a single crown turned out to be three or four similarly sized plants. Planted bare root from Nourse in 2015. No wonder this thing is such a great berry-bearer! None this year of course, but looking forward to great crop next year.
