Female, or possibly young male, Annas hummingbird at one of our feeders in our backyard garden. Young male Annas look very similar to females. As the males get older, they get their head feathers which change from black to bright red, depending on the angle of the light. The females head is green on top, and their throats are white, with some splotches of color.
