Meet my comfort plant, that I got after a friend of mine decided to end his suffering, about 15 months ago. She had just a few leaves back then, and I knew nothing about monsteras, but she has really exploded in growth. Didn’t have the nerves to split & pole her up yet, and I kind of like the way she is atm.
But there are 4 main stems in there, and heaps of new shots coming from the ground. So, I finally managed to survive the pain of cutting the smallest of the main stems into some cuttings, eager to try growing it “the right way” (moss pole, chunky aeroid mix etc). I’ve already been experimenting a bit with some of the smaller babies growing from the roots.
I put the cuttings in water in the evening, and by the time I got up the next morning, the aerial roots had already gotten new growth! I can’t wait to get these ready to be poled up in my chunky mix. I’m so hooked… Lol
