My favorite berries/fruits/food in general has always been the eastern black raspberry, rubus occidentalis. We’ve always had some on the family property, around my grandparents’ house, but I moved from the city back home during COVID and have been cultivating a solid patch. Now, the main patch is probably 25’x15’ with a path in the middle, plus a couple rows of hybrids (jewel, Cumberland) that seem to cross pollinate and make the naive ones bigger. They’re the best, but hard to find and don’t produce long. Got 2-3 gallons last year.
Also shared some more shots of blueberries, strawberries, and currants. Looking like it’ll be a good year! My yellow/ red raspberries, gooseberries, and blackberries are all coming along too.
Anywho, wanted to share the current state!
