Perennial Fruits for Zone 3 #zone3gardening #yycgardening #hardyfruits #zone3 #ediblegarden

From Spring blooms to Summer treats!

Our Zone 3 garden is blooming with beautiful perennial plants that not only add to the beauty of our garden but also offer delicious edible fruits.

Take a look at some of our favorites:

Combination Pear Tree – The elegant and fragrant pear tree is in full bloom right now, offering a beautiful display of white flowers. Come summer, we’ll (fingers crossed) be enjoying juicy and sweet pears right from our backyard.

Red, Black, and White Currants – These hardy shrubs offer a stunning display of colorful flowers in the spring and ripe, juicy berries in the summer. Perfect for making jams, jellies, and desserts.

Josta Berry – A cross between a gooseberry and a blackcurrant, the Josta berry offers a unique and delicious flavor. These bushes are covered in delicate pink flowers in the spring and produce plump berries in the summer.

Honey Berry/Haskap – These tasty blueberry-like fruits are a recent addition to our garden, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how they’re doing. They produce beautiful white/yellow/purple flowers in the spring and offer sweet, tangy berries in the summer.

Who said you can’t have it all? A beautiful garden and delicious fruit – all in one place! 🍐🍒🍇
