🌻 ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN CORNBREAD 🌻

In 2016 my husband and I retired from active duty army family life and planted roots in Alabama. We started a homestead from scratch, and shared that journey here on YouTube. In 2022 we answered the call to the mountains of Arkansas, where we are starting that journey once again.

I post videos to encourage families to embrace growing food, cooking real food and living a simpler, slower, faith-filled life. I am a whole bible believer, and share my passions for the home and the Father.
Here on Cosmopolitan Cornbread some of what you will see include:
🌻 Cooking from Scratch 🌻Homesteading
🌻 gardening 🌻 Raising Chickens 🌻 Raising Goats
🌻 Gardening 🌻 Organic Gardening 🌻 Food Preservation
🌻 Bible Devotionals 🌻 Women Homesteaders
🌻DIY 🌻 Natural Living 🌻 Natural Health
🌻 Home Ec Lessons 🌻 How to Cook, Bake and Can

Getting back to the basics as the Father intended.

  2. Love your channel. You are exactly right about not always having to have the best. Not having the best is a good life teacher… Makes you have to study and learn. Thank you for your faithfulness.

  3. Love your video Constance. It was so relaxing and fulfilling for me to see you put something in the ground so we can watch it grow. Nothing better than that

  4. So glad that you have started agarden of all things I Love it looks great I too love getting in the dirt and seeing things grow thanks for sharing

  5. Your flower beds will be beautiful! Your kitty’s seem to have acclimated well to the move! They seem right at home there in the mountain life!😘❤🙏🏻✨

  6. Which plant identifier App did you use? My son wants to know. thanks. He said the one he has ever used did not identify properly…

  7. I did not know about honeysuckle jelly! I have lots of it growing wild 😊 in Louisiana. My youngest daughter lives near Fort Smith. Another lived in Mountain Home a few years. I love it up there😊

  8. The purple flower looks like nicotinia – related to tobacco, but grow for the flowers & pollinators. My momma loved it.

  9. Have you heard of or are you familiar with native perennials for local beneficial pollinators? Try to salvage them rather than introducing non-native plants

  10. Such a difference in landscapes from Alabama to here. Both stunning in their own ways. New challenges for you. Endless places to discover. A grand adventure to share with your love ones. Hands in the dirt for me too today. Glorious.

  11. Your place is going to be so beautiful this summer when everything is green. Do your cats stay close by, since the move? Didn't how they were doin and the dogs are they doing okay?

  12. Your little granddaughter is just adorable!! She has the sweetest smile. 😍😍 And your homestead is stunning! With the water and all of the rock framed gardens, it's so peaceful and beautiful. I would want to stay out there all day.

  13. wow – Thank you. We have a lot of wild Honeysuckle growing on our farm. It sure does smell good when it's in bloom! I will have to look up your recipe. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. Being we're in a rural area on 80 acres it's usually colder than what they are forecasting, so I'm holding off putting our 40+ tomato seedlings in the ground just yet. They are forecasting a low of 38, so I wouldn't doubt that we could have a light frost tomorrow morning depending on how much wind we have. We have a small 8 x 12 greenhouse that is RAPIDLY getting filled up with seedlings.

  14. Thanks for the information and garden ideas, will have to give your jelly recipe a try. There’s a ton of honeysuckle growing on my homestead.

  15. I always loved walking around my sisters land, it was so calming, yours feels the same way. Such a Blessing you have! Willow is so sweet, she seems so happy helping you dig in the dirt!!

  16. What a delightful surprise from your friends. You have really nailed it with picking up so quickly at your new dream property and your animals act so happy to. I’m sure Mr. Smith will be content being home safe with you and the animal pets. Home sweet home for real this time 🙏. I’m really praying and pulling for you guys ❤

  17. Such beautiful property. I'd love to sit on a rock and get my feet wet in the creek :). I'm glad to see you digging in the dirt, just because "you want to plant". Such cute video of Willow – adorable!

  18. What is the app you use for identification? I got them from Kindle and then a while back, they just all got turned off and no longer work. So, what app are you using? Thank you

  19. The first thing I thought of when I saw those rock walls was snakes. Do you know if there are copperhead where you live? I love all that you have planted and a m hoping the weather starts cooperating where we live soon!

  20. I can really tell that you are HOME in you voice! Go right ahead and get those hand dirty girl, your finally there! Welcome home♥️

  21. I recently got my hands in the dirt for the first time in years because of health/mobility issues after getting a greenhouse. It feels so good because we are grounding and getting electrons from the earth. So soothing. The last purple flower you didn't know what it was is nicotiana, flowering nicotine.

  22. Hummingbirds love salvias. hugelkultur! Filling raised beds rather than soil. Most plants only need a couple feet to grow. As the wood and other material break down it feeds the plants and attracts worms. Those beds look about the right height for deer

  23. I used that last year and it killed everything in my garden. They had to refund my money. I will never take that chance again.

  24. some one probably answered but your mystery plant looks like a Nicotiana flower or tabacco plant. Its my favorite smelling flower ever. Good luck on your new garden.

  25. I loved seeing your garden beds and everything you have planted. I use cardboard in the bottom of all of my raised beds, and have used your method to save on dirt. I love getting my hands in the dirt too! I am growing lemon balm for the first time this year, thank you for posting links for some ways to use it. I love smelling it and how clean it smells. My basil keeps dying before I can transplant it, thought I had lost my chamomile too, but a little bit of water and it perked right up. I am growing lots of peppers, sweet and hot. And tomatoes, lots of tomatoes, lol. I enjoy canning and making salsa, jams, and jellies. Not really a fan of the hot peppers, but my son and his friends love the pickled hot peppers and the fire jam. I love your t-shirt and will be checking out that link as well. Praying for you and your family to always be abundantly blessed!
