Did the plant have kinda holly-like leaves? If so, Mahonia japonica would be my guess.

I concur with a Mahonia species. Not all plants are this easy to ID, though, and misidentification can taste bad or hurt your stomach, perhaps even kill you in some cases. Next time when looking for an ID, please add pics of leaves and the whole plant, as well as location and some ecological context. Just showing the fruit is like zooming into a family member’s nose and asking another family member to identify the person.
