  1. Just got back from walk; sat down to have limeade, and oh yeah, a new video, popped up from you! Kaye, kitties, and some ice cold limeade! Saturday just got good! : )

  2. I have things growing in my yard. But because I live in a neighborhood, the lawn has to be maintained. So I don't have the opportunity to harvest any wild plants. I considered all weeds to the lawn guy. Has to be mowed down of killed. 🤪

  3. Thanks Kaye! This video was timely, I harvested some mullein from my pasture the other day for the first time. How long should the tincture cure before using. I’m hoping it will help with my chronic post covid cough.

  4. Also a long time Mexican cure is using ruda or rue in English Mix some leaves with alcohol till it turns the alcohol green then soak some up in a bit of cotton and place in the ear. Works for ear infections

  5. Those prickly pear cactus are edible and, actually, quite delicious. Of course, you have to carefully cut out all the thorns. They have a lemony taste. I just cut them up in strips and cook them like green beans.

  6. Great video on mullein and it's many uses. I have been looking for a home remedy for ear infections and this looks so easy to make and use. My research showed that it lasts about 3 years if stored in cool dark place for the earache oil. Not sure about the other tincture you made. I have some mullein tea for congestion but have not had to use it yet. Blessings for a wonderful weekend..

  7. I'm in SC, WE had a large jet fly over at near treetop level (like a C130 size jet) and spray something that killed nearly all the plants, I had a huge wild plant "garden " out in the forest. Almost nothing will grow now, but the small plants just won't come back. It was thick, it settled down and was nearly 35ft tall like fog, I was running to get inside but ended up taking a breath, it burnt like battery acid.

  8. This I need to do! I'll look around and see if I can spot some growing around here, but if not, Hoss Tools has seeds!

  9. Love your vid on the benefits of mullein, Kaye! I've been making mullein oil for years- if I may suggest, dehydrated/dried Mullein blossoms and garlic introduce less moisture into the infusing oil, and it lasts longer without the risk of mold forming. In my experience, Mullein oil has quickly cured earaches that nothing else would. Thanks for sharing!

  10. We just purchased some lemon balm today (to grow). I also wanted peppermint, but we couldn’t find any. I have never made my own tinctures but I’m going to start. I bought a few tinctures just to experiment with. I got heartburn from last night’s dinner out. I tried out a peppermint tincture and it immediately took away the reflux. I’m ready to start making some!
