Japanese Garden/Vilniaus Japoniškas sodas
A new, never-before-seen and exclusive space in Vilnius, the Japanese Garden, will be opened on April 29.
The site of the future garden previously contained 5 hectares of unused territory. The city municipality decided to turn it into a Japanese garden with Japanese plants, which can be admired while walking along the newly established paths. By the way, this will be another place in the city where Japanese cherries – sakura – will appear.
In the abandoned area, the landscape of the garden has been improved and greenery has been planted, pedestrian paths and bridges, a gazebo and small architectural elements, waterfalls, cascades and fish pools have been installed.
In addition, the lighting and children’s playground will be fixed, so a total of about 38,000 will be renovated. sq. m open space. There is a parking lot next to the garden.
