STOP Squash Bugs & Vine Borer Infestations With These Organic Solutions! #squash #organicgardening

Do you struggle with squash bugs and the dreaded squash vine borer? Here are some tips to help control them organically.
1. Keep plants clean by pruning out dead, old, diseased leaves. This helps prevent the spread of diseases. Plus it is said that bad insects are attracted to stressed out plants.
2. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth powder around the base of the plant and stem. These tiny powder particles dry out soft bodied insects and kills them.
3. If things get bad, use BT or spinosad spray which are organic products that effectively kill chewing insects. You can try to hand pick if you don’t have a lot of worms.

  1. “Pruning” is the term you’re looking for 😊 I like to think of the analogy if to many people are at the gym not everyone is going to grow. Remove some people from the gym then everyone benefits 😊
