Hydrangeas have been a challenge to grow here in zone 3 canada. Thought they were rabbit proof but ours always get nibbled on by jack rabbits 😀
Hi Kelly! Thank you for posting this video! I have some macrophylla hydranges that bloom on old wood and all the stems have no green growth, but there is new growth coming from the base. I think the buds got zapped from the deep freeze we had. Should I go ahead and cut the stems back? I keep waiting to give them a chance to leaf out, but I have a feeling they don't have any life in them. 😢

I’m watching and waiting here in zone 8, South Carolina. We moved here in November and some hydrangeas had the remains of blue flowers. I hope they are Endless Summer. Others are mysteries, but they have green leaves at the base. Patience is difficult though necessary.
