  1. I love this where you're on a disciplined budget but not extremely frugal. You're right – totally a gap for this on YT. But this is definitely the way I shop for my family. Make a rough menu plan, then shop for basics for the week + flyer specials either for the current week or to store for future weeks, and shopping my freezer & pantry for menu ideas.❤

  2. I just love you, Mindy, with your "thingamadoodles" and such. 😂Thank you for taking the time to do the planning for us. I know I sure appreciate it.

  3. Ardent Michelle puts out some videos on tight budgets and eating…!

  4. Love my Rada! This is a great fundraiser for schools also. I got my first set that way.

  5. Wow, I feel better about what I thought was my too-big grocery budget! Thank you for your videos—they always get my brain into creative mode to use what we have, spend less, etc.!

  6. Love this realistic budget and also meal plan with foods I could actually make in reasonable time! Can’t wait to see more like this one!!

  7. I am definitely into more of these moderate budget meal plans. This is more where I like to keep my family grocery budget at.

  8. Those budget recs are making me feel REAL good about myself 🤣 family of five, one kid has a gluten sensitivity so most of our meals are either gluten free or uses einkorn flour – I do $200/week 🙌

  9. Right up my alley. Not a crazy low or high budget. I would just need to tweak for 5 adult eaters. One with diabetes. Thanks!

  10. I loved this video. We are also a family of 5. I have three teenage boys and I can’t cook fast enough for them. My weekly budget is around 300.00. At least I try to keep it there. We live in NJ. This week I was at 360.00. 😮 great video for those of us that are in the middle.

  11. Much rather see moderate income meals…extreme budget meals are too abundant on utube right now..they are there if needed but now and then it would be nice to see average budget meals and shopping ..

  12. I loved this video! Super close to my usual week budget style and also I am a huge fan of Rada knives! So cool that you have a code for us! Thanks!!

  13. Love this realistic grocery budget! The extreme ones are fascinating but we usually hang out in the “thrifty” category and eat out a couple times a week.

  14. I think it would be more interesting if they did one state by state. Because in Oklahoma I don't think it costs that much. I don't spend near as much as I think I should.

  15. LOVE more middle of the road. When Jen shared that data I was wondering what they were smoking. 😂 I mean I guess maybe with inflation. I WISH I had that amount to spend on groceries. We keep close to that thrift category as a family of five.

If we did rearrange our budget to be more like the modest one, we’d never ever go anywhere or do anything, ever-ever. 😂 I guess our tithes would make up that difference… so maybe for an average house of non believers with a similar income… God is so good though and always makes it work with some planning and praying. ❤😂

I just really wonder how they get their numbers.

  16. I just looked up my thrifty cost for my specific family, $1,200. Our budget is $900 per month but that includes dog food, household goods, personal care etc. I do have pantry storage I work through though and I have a “personal allowance…” When I see good deals/stock up prices, I often spend it on that. I don’t do hair dye or hair cuts, and that’s the sort of thing it’s for. I do use it to treat my kids out sometimes though or buy a gift or piece of clothing.

  17. We use the frozen bread loaves for Stromboli. I thought your son requested jambalaya with the smoked sausage and shrimp, but the shrimp boil sounded good too.
