Weekly Garden Tour: part 2 18 April 2023

The back gardens are lush and colorful! Don’t mind the weeds- I can’t keep up at this time of year! I hope you can plan to see it in person at the Spring Open Garden on Saturday 13 May noon-4pm. https://www.briegrows.com/spring-open-garden

  1. Absolutely. I work most of the day, and I still wish my efforts showed more. We are alluvial here, so we remove a huge amount of rock to plant every single thing. You can’t dig with a shovel. Think mattock and pry bar. I keep telling my self it all counts. Keep your head down and keep going. It’s so lovely to look at something that’s well done. Hang in there, lady. I feel your pain and joy.

  2. Hi Brie, you are the Poppy Queen! Everything looks so pretty!😊💖🌸
I can relate, I feel a little stressed with all the seeds I’m trying to start and plant into the garden. We can get it done and we have plenty of time! Right? LOL

  3. I’m so excited! My California poppy field has finally germinated and growing. Do you think they’ll keep their silver blue foliage color? They’re Mission Bells.

  4. Garden looks great Brie!! Not to be picky, spell check your intro above. Last sentence about spring open garden lol !

  5. Hello! what a beautiful garden!! I have fallen in love with the raspberry poppies and the giant red one. Could you please tell me what kind of poppies they are? I have the Californian ones but I would love to have those in my garden. Thank you so much!

  6. Hi Brie! So exciting to see all the buds! I agree, the garden teaches us to live in the moment! You’ve got a lot of happy plants there! Cheers!

  7. Love the kitty playing in the background…. You are right we are work, work, work and do not spend enough time enjoying…… Now you are of course a bit busy to say the least…. The poppies are beautiful… I do have a question: What is the type of allium you showed (the 2nd one) would love to plant that one. Thanks

  8. What was the allium with the ink star bursting heads? I listened twice but all I heard you say was allium. Those are amazing!
