2022 was a huge year for me with logo design client work! Not only has the world been turned upside down for many people in the design industry, but it’s also been crazy busy!
This year we’ve worked with some of the most amazing clients and it’s a personal joy to work with so many different companies, from startups to large corporations.
In this video Will Paterson shows his logo design work from 2022 / 2023. Although the logos look like the full extent of work, the rest of the work including the brand strategy and guidelines and prototyping were worked on during the design process.

I hope the video inspired you! If you're looking for a great template to easily create brand guidelines for your client or portfolio go here: https://bit.ly/3AbndqF
That template image you referenced with the cool effect for the Jani project around 4:34; would you be able to post the link for that? π Thank you! π
Very useful. Thanks
What software is that? 6:13
Edit: Nevermind. You answered my question at 8:27
I really like this type of showcase and I wish there was more!
Suggestion/Correction: at the end Will says "check this video here" but not video pop up till too much seconds later
Thanks for all the ideas, my surname is Jani as well and I found your ideas for branding myself very intriguing. I'm wondering if I'll incorporate some of these perspectives into my own logo design & brand identity. Awesome video as always, cheers!
Thanks for letting us know the work behind logo designs…
Great case studies! Thanks for sharing.
Love seeing your guidelines! picked up a few things we'll add to ours!
Inspiring
That was really helpful. I'm designing a logo as well. And it is way harder than I thought. But your rewind gave me a good orientation on what I should focus on. Thanks π
thanks a lot will, you're awesome!!
Lol didnβt think Iβd be following the designer behind Alexβs new branding in the pool sceneπit looks great. Hope youβre able to design future products heβll end up coming up with. Interesting to see with pool players branching off to do their own thing (fellow pool player here)π
Loving the JANi logo! (To some of us, this doesn't say 'futuristic' but it screams old school 90s ASCII lettering ;] )
Id love to hear your thoughts going into this year and how you would approach it differently. Reason I ask is you could tell some ideas didnβt come through like the click/mosaic direction.
Loving this type of videos !! very helpful. Btw do you have the template of the James Jani logo? The rainbow colored one
I'm just curious & want to know
Why many of you guys using figma for design various things ?
Convince me π
That's so helpful , i have finals in may and one part is to create a whole design manual plus presenting it to the professors.
The kerning between the N and the I in JANI is too much, compared to the J and the A.
Amazing work!
I wish you would show us more. You cannot have worked on only 3 to 4 clients in a year, we demand to see it all! Pleaseππ β€οΈ

Awesome. I'm not a developer, but I've been learning a few things these past couple days. I have some good ideas in mind for a logo, what are Your starting rates? Also willing to look at more work if anyone is interested.
I appreciate the work and adept knowledge of branding for a client. Your video is one the best to learn brand management.
This is a unique video because it showcases not just your work but the way you lay out the brand guidelines. As someone currently building software (instead of doing marketing like i should lol π ) who needs to figure out branding soon, seeing the materials laid out is almost as much of a sell as the work itself. The organization is clean and shows me exactly what to expect. Thanks!
Great. Brother you have excellence in typography. I wish I could get your thoughts in one capsule!!!
Great video! Mind if I ask what is the gothic font on 1:48 / 16:31? Thanks
