More garden construction in OUR OFF GRID food forest in PORTUGAL – EP7 (Week 10)

WHAT HAVE WE BUILT NOW? Plus we update you on our FOOD FOREST progress, Dom shows you how to get FREE PLANTS, this week he propagates lavenders for FREE and Missy updates you on the progress of her seeds AND we take a tour around all the changes in the garden.

Join us from our OFF GRID GARDEN in Portugal where we are growing a FOOD FOREST and embarking on our journey to be self sufficient and beat the cost of living crisis.

We’re starting to present like an off grid version of GARDENERS’ WORLD!

You can follow our progress from day 1, the very beginnings of our food forest as we create SWALES, plant trees, learn the whats, the whys and also how to follow permaculture principles, what are guildings, composting and soil regeneration.

We are The Wildlanders Off Grid! A family learning how to live the good life sustainably and on a tight budget. Subscribe to watch our adventures as we turn our 1.3 hectares of Portuguese Wild Lands into a little slice of off grid paradise!

We hope to inspire others to make their dreams a reality.

We’ve lived on the road as nomads for 4 years and now we’re creating our dream homestead, off grid in central Portugal and living simply off the land.

  2. Thank you for your video, your garden is so interesting, and productive. I will have a go at the lavender, but normally not successful. I have had several attempts at growing winter flowering jasmine cuttings, using rooting powder, but none have survived. Your seedlings and young plants are amazing. I love trellisses, they enhance any garden, and I have three in mine. Belated Happy Birthday, Dom.

  3. Happy Belated Birthday Dom.
Wow your selection on your fruit and veg forest is Amazing. Well done guys!!

  4. Happy belated birthday Dom, great to see how much the wild lands are producing I am in love with all of it. We too are having really hot weather here in Almeria, it hasn't rained at all since god knows when😢. I really hope your well and ibcs are enough for you for this year. I'm getting a greenhouse for my birthday, although it's not till July, I'm looking forward to it so much. You missy and Rosie are so very lucky your all interested in growing and planting. Keep up the good work. Lots of blessings to you all. 💚💚☘️☯️

  5. Hi guys, this is Carrynn from just south of the great Lakes in Ohio USA. I really enjoy your narrative. You’ve done such a great job with your garden and have come along way. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope to see and hear a lot more that’s going on at your place. Have a great evening. This is April 20 7:45 PM.❤

  6. So excited for you all on your plantings! Looking good! Something iam trying this year is saving banana peels and cutting them up and putting them into a gallon or more of water. Let set for a couple of weeks and then use this as a liquid fertilizer by mixing a half of cup with a gallon of water. It has made my plants grow amazingly well and fast. Enjoy!

  7. Bonjour. Nice job. Petit question la lavande que vous havez c'est la variété papillons. Bonne journée 😊

  8. The shade sail looks awesome! Can't wait to see it installed.
Where did you get the mango tree? We paid a lot more for ours and then killed it 😕 the manure we bought was hot and cooked our plants.

  9. Garden looks fab. Your propagation set up is well ordered. Hope your water conservation measures see you and the garden through the summer.

  10. Good job Don t-shirts now available 👍👍👍. Might be a good idea. Just need something for Missy ❤
