If something is eating your sunflowers try this sunflower oil. Peanut oil. Soybean oil mix with water dishwashing soap try that see if it works I know dishwashing soap works for me

Could it be pill bugs eating your sunflowers? They eat my seedlings in the night only and when they are just starting!
