I am a passionate gardener always on the lookout for ways to maximize my garden space and ensure that every plant has optimal growing conditions. For this year, my plan includes 10 raised beds with room for expansion later in the summer or fall. I will be using hugelkultur, which involves filling the beds with rotting wood and other organic materials to improve soil quality and increase moisture retention. Along with compost, this should create a nutrient-rich growing environment for my plants. I only wish I could share the vivid image in my mind of how it will all come together

We live on a rock hill and made stair step beds. It's NOT easy! In our large bed we used LARGE logs in the bottom to help fill it. You'll need a lot more than you think. Great way to use blown down limbs! I look forward to watching the progress!
