Begonias – acidic citrus flavour, balances out ingredients like goat cheese and salads.
A great start to a simple syrup. Can be used as a beverage garnish as well. If you’re really adventurous you can “candy” them as well for a sweet snack!

Fuschia Flowers & Fruits – A citrus flavour, these make an elegant beverage garnish. Perfect for a signature summer cocktail. Wow your guests this season with this special touch.

Impatiens – be sure to only enjoy the flowers of this plant, not the leaves. These vibrant petals are more mild in taste. They add colour to salads, pastries, cakes and make a great garnish too!

Lilac Blossoms – a mild flavour, tasting exactly what they smell like. There is a natural yeast in their flowers – this will create “fizz” in any drink!! Making it extra special. The individual florets can be dehydrated and used to flavour sugars or decorate cakes.

Lavender – there’s so much to do with this one! Very versatile – from lavender lemonade, simple syrup, sprigs as a garnish, baking garnish and so much more!! A great addition to teas…you can even dry the individual florets and use as a natural confetti.

Roses – depending on the variety, some have stronger flavours than others. When you used it you want to pick off the white base of the petal which is bitter. Teas, jellies, garnish, rose water, dried as decor or a garnish…there’s just so much with this one!!

Nepeta or ‘Cat Mint’ – tastes minty!! This one has soothing properties, use the leaves and flowers in things like teas, cordials, a gentle extract or garnish.

Yarrow – a mild tarragon like flavour!! Use this one in things like soups, salads, stews. It’s a leafy green and can be used to give a slight bite to your next dish.

Viola and Pansies – more of a decorative garnish with their beautiful colour and design. They make a great garnish for salads, pastries and beverages.

Carnations – very mild flavour, similar to violas and pansies they are more of a decorative garnish with their beautiful colour and design. They make a great garnish for salads, pastries and beverages.
