ADDICTION COST This MAN A Lot More Than His YARD!! | LANDSCAPING (SATISFYING)



Howdy y’all and welcome back 2620 family. I hope everyone had a great weekend and a happy easter. My week and weekend has been jammed packed, I want to start off by saying happy birthday to my eldest Aria and my youngest Isaiah.

This story resonates with me because of my own personal battle with alcohol addiction.

So I had a young lady reach out to me and asked if I could come by her property and cut the grass. She was explaining to me that her brother and his 3 kids were living here. he lost his job in the beginning of 2020 due to COVID-19, for one reason or another he was not able to find a job and eventually led to him not being able to manage his bills or life productively. The part that really hit me was in 2022 she was forced to take custody of his 3 children or CPS would have to step in due to alcohol abuse and child neglect, 3 months ago she made a tough to decision to put him out of the house that their parents had gifted them and checked him into rehab due to his personal life choices.

Alcohol is very sneaky and causes untold heartbreak in many families so kudos to you for beating it. I love to see your transformations of the properties of the elderly and disabled. Have you thought of contacting the social services department in your local government to see if they have any clients you could help out? It is far better to keep them in their own homes but they do need help and support. Great job on this one, as always.

    Happy birthday to your children. My Mom had the same addiction all her life. Terrible thing to have. She never wanted help. She lost family jobs and had only had a friend near the end Thank you for helping there. God bless GREAT JOB.

Sad how many lives are destroyed and families separated over depression and addiction I pray that this family can be restored and the father finds his way back to them. Also today you touched a topic that's brought many bad memories for me I know personally what alcohol can do to a family I grew up with it and it did alot of damage to the entire family, so I pray that God will be with this family and that he will get the help he needs before is too late, you can't fix the damage once it's too late but there is a God that merciful if you call on him.may you also be an inspiration to many, thanks for sharing your experience, it could help many people see their wrong, Love you kid ❤

And depression…it's a killer of any joy. It's not just being "sad", It's being so incredibly sad it hurts just to breathe or even function. I know all too well.     Alcoholism is terribly destructive. My sister's son is a violent drunk and also a meth addict. His wife is an opioid and meth addict. I took in their kids at ages 5 and 8 when CPS removed them from the parents' custody for abuse and neglect. The kids both have PTSD from what they went through. I was 55, didn't think I would be raising kids at that stage of life. I adopted them when the courts terminated parental rights, and they are now 15 and 18. It hasn't been easy. I am disabled due to severe arthritis, so we struggle on disability income. But the 18 year old is headed off to Luther College in the fall, on a full scholarship. The younger one is doing very well, too. He wants to become a woodworker, making cabinets or furniture. Both are incredibly talented musicians.
