  1. Advice: wait a year and just watch what happens. If you want, put some annuals in pots for extra colours. But it's still early in the year and you don't know what bulbs or shrubs might still come up. Our new neighbours killed the most beautiful patch of peonies because they couldn't wait for spring to start planting new things. That gives you time to see what grows well in your neighbours gardens and what you would love colourwise and conceptwise.

  2. I also echo the other comments of living in the garden for a year before making decisions on what will work, where. In the meantime, plant some flowers or small plants in plant pots – they will add colour, and you can also move them around!

  3. The shower thing happened to me about 30 years ago… unfortunately, I WAS in the shower. The shower head hit the back of my thigh – left a HUGE, PAINFUL bruise, that took forever to heal. So thankful it didn't hit me in a more "tender" spot 😊…and there are a few spots that could be much worse 😬🫤

  4. Red geraniums and ivy are very French. I would have bougenvillia if I lived there. You can always replace and refresh the soil. You are not responsible for any plants you didn’t choose. Maybe your garden take some away if you don’t want to include them

  5. in the opening shot, I definitely thought Kingsley was an image on your jumper, until she moved

  6. Thanks for sharing your life with us…. You make me laugh so much 😂…. Girl I thought you were going to choose the pretty rug that first showed up behind you! The one you chose (but are taking back I think) was cute but I thought the other one was beautiful and looked great 🤷‍♀️ but that’s just my opinion…. That’s what makes the world go round…. 😂
Thanks again for all you do! You’re such a dedicated hard worker!

  7. in the area where plant dies you'll need fresh soil and nutrients (like NPK) to nourish the ground.

  8. Hi! How about a collaboration with a YouTuber with a gardening show? You give some advice in their living space and they do the same in your garden?

  9. For your tablecloth, just go to the fabric store and buy a biiiig piece of fabric and either sew it or liquid stich it!

  10. pale pink climbing roses would be pretty. I love your channel! Linda Vater also has a cottage home and please look at her ideas maybe you would like some of her ideas for your place.

  11. As far as the back yard, you have a gardener so talk to him and he should be able to help you decide what you want. And how you want the garden to feel over all.

  12. omg I'm so excited to be back in Texas and see MaCenna's mom again

  13. Already so many amazing and helpful tips for the garden! Just know that gardens take time! I would add on to my garden every year and know that it was a work in progress that doesn’t happen overnight. Also pay special attention to how much light the garden gets so you can plant accordingly ❤

  14. I’m I the only one who notice the picture promoting the vlog isn’t related to the actual vlog? I don’t know…maybe?

  15. Maybe clear that entire first row. Pick one annual plant (white impatiens, imho) and pack it full. It's just one year and then you can discover the other tiers in the next 12 months. Then change to another annual next year or not, but pick whatever enhances the other tiers.

  16. I say start from the back and make your way to the front of your back yard because the labor of cutting stuff down and all that also like trim your tree and show the back of it all I know it’s really big

  17. Random question: would Romeo and you ever get Kinsley a little fur brother or sister? I know you both have a lot going on already but how cute would that be? 💕
    Much love for you!

  18. Your first season there, I definitely would leave things in pots and see how they do. Pots can be moved around. Much easier than planting then having to unplant and move. Give yourself a season. 🌺🥀🌸💐🌻

  19. You should move the dinning room into that front room and then make the former dinning space into a sitting/reading area. Imagine reading and looking out that window 😍 at least until you renovate
