If you are a gardener in zone 9a or 9b, there are so many gardening tasks to get done year-round. But April is a great month for us because it is usually plenty warm enough and there is typically no more danger of frost. So April is the perfect month to get all of your warm-season vegetables planted if you have not already done so.

Whether you plant transplants or directly sow your seeds, April is a great month to do both. I always like to plant a combination of both transplants and directly sown crops and in this video, I give tips and advice about why and how to do both.

Continue watching the video to hear all of my advice for what to get done in your garden during the month of April. And if you’d like a guide to follow that will help you grow a successful garden all year long be sure to check out my Complete Zone 9b Vegetable Gardening Guide below.
