How to Start Seeds Indoors with Less Plastic: Episode 1: Recycled Seed Starting Containers

One of the main issues we can face with seed starting is our reliance on plastic seed starting accessories. This has the potential to be costly each year with the purchase of new seed starting supplies, and it is also not great for the environment.

In this three part series, we are going to focus on ways you can start seeds indoors using less plastic. In this first video we are focused on reusing plastic containers, or repurposing / upcycling containers for seed starting, so we don’t have to be as reliant on new single-use plastics. (Egg carton seed starting is definitely a thing!)
