Simple DIY Pallet Bucket Garden

This week’s video is piggybacking off of last week’s where we constructed a full 12 Bucket Container Garden out of lumber. I wanted to simplify it a little bit this week, and came up with a design that is much smaller and holds two buckets. Introducing the DIY Two Bucket Container Garden pallet project. This is container gardening in its most simple form, and it should give anyone the freedom to grow at leas ta couple of fruits or vegetables.

  1. My yard down here in Blaine is still full of snow, I tried walking through it on Friday and fenceposted about 6 times.

  2. Another idea for using pallets for a garden is get 3 decent pallets. A pallet is 40in x 48in. Line the 3 pallets up where it'll be 40in x 12ft. Slap some 2×12 on the sides. Line with landscaping fabric. Fill with soil or compost and plant. Due to the height, it's great for carrots, radishes and other crops with shallow root systems. If you plant tomatoes, pinch off the bottom leaves and bury them deeper. All those 'hairs' on tomato stems will turn into roots. By planting them deeper, you will have more roots to hold them in the soil.
