Hollyhocks are gorgeous giants in my garden. They make me so happy every time I look at them. Yes, they reseed around but I am ok with that. They are easy to identify and pluck out. Or pot the extra seedlings and give the plant to a friend. The bees also love the pollen rich flowers. Rust can be treated by spraying with 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water.

What areas does it grow in and how long do the flowers last? They look like overgrown weeds but are really pretty!
I wish mine would reseed. I have to baby mine because squirrels snatch my seed off the ground.
