What a season from a wet start to record temperatures and overnight contrasting temperatures have played havoc with our fruit and vegetables, please leave a comment on how you cope with this and how you save rain water..

  3. you don't have to wait til spring to take cuttungs, terry, once they the new shoots reach over 3 inches, perfect. i did it last year with gooseberries and got 100percent rooting……………..brian

  6. Terry the ar mulch sure does look great, havesting it is icing on the cake My word the wins for the next carrot bed is a great idea, also have water in the pollytunnel. They are fine carrots still and all Terry,the parsnips too. My favourite ve purple sprouting broccoli.
    Nice harvest fr sure Terry. I've done loads in my plot, very pleased,even a new seating area. Got next years psb planted. Sorting strawberries out. Potatoes gone in, that is first earlies,some seconds gone in,and heritage potatoes. Some lettuce gone in ,also broccoli and cauliflower wit individual bottle coverings. Carrot, suede,and Brussels sprouts seeds gone in. Replanted broad beans as rodents stole my last lot. Got ew beds,round plastic ones, I love them. So that's some of what I've been up too.

  7. Nice Harvest Terry. I have has the odd hairy parsnip myself LOL. Pulled up all my Purple Sprouting to make room, as they were covering half the bed. Wife could not believe just how tasty they were.

  10. Whens the best time to start stawberrys in our area i want to do 3 or 4 long pots to put on my fence and can i just get the seeds of a shop brought stawberry

  16. When you ripped off the tops of the carrots (the greens), leaving the carrot in the ground, what does that do? Will the greens continue to sprout making the carrots bigger? Or is it to make them bold for seeds? Or is it left to break down into compost? Thanks
