100% the same experience as you Jim! Here in Chorley pigeons devaste all brassicas and peas. Can only grow them if netted.
Sorry Jim, I did laugh when you saw the wasp! That would've been my reaction too though! 😁 I planted some sweetcorn inside recently and they were growing really well. I transferred them into bigger pots as their roots had come out of the bottom and I've lost 3 out of the 10 I planted. They just suddenly sagged! I don't think I'd under/over watered them so I wonder if it was the transplanting that upset them? If I lose all of them I think I may wait until I can plant some directly into their growing position.
