Hauling a 28′ log with a snow mobile and sled in the Arctic forest for the sawmill building beam

Join me on an epic adventure in the frozen Arctic forest as I cut and haul the biggest log I have ever attempted to move using my trusty snowmobile and log sled. Battling against deep snow and freezing temperatures, I push my limits and test my skills as I cannot lift or roll it and have to get it back to my yard. Witness the stunning scenery and breathtaking landscapes as I take you along on this unforgettable journey, filled with adrenaline, excitement, and the satisfaction of a job well done. So buckle up, and get ready for an adventure.

  1. A very ambitious task done with minimal equipment. I believe challenges like that keep the blood flowing and the brain intact. Creative solutions make results happen.

  2. My first inclination would have been to lay dunnage and roll the log to the trail. Then jacking to get the sled under. Of course hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it?

  3. That's a lot of work! But with tenacity and some "Simonuity" it all worked out… nice! Fingers crossed that the snowmobile track keeps together 🤞🤞All the best to you buddy, take care 🙂

  4. Frolicking forest fun! FROZEN FFF! I was wondering… placing mental bets with my inner bookie… who retires first… Simon of the snow mobile?? Seems you won… again… I mean, you didn't retire… you beat the job… I should have known! AJWD!!

  5. Thanks Simon, that s.o.b. of a log was coming home with you for sure buddy, I knew you could do it. Take care have a great weekend.

  6. Howdy Simon- what an achievement! I can certainly understand the elation of getting something done that for some people would be an impossibility. Great job 22:32 my friend! Since I can only give one thumbs up I’ll give you another here. 👍👍👍. Hope you are having a great weekend. God bless.

  7. Good job with the tree! Glad you were able to get it hauled home. It should make a fine beam for your new shelter!

  8. Heel, that was a huge log Simon….and you made it home! I wondered how the chain was going to cope and the tracks too!!!😂😂😂. I could see the emotion of accomplishment on you face when you arrive back to pick us up. Bet you slept well that night. Loves to the three of you.❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪

  9. Easy on the back ole boy. I started thinking the tree wasn't going to cooperate. Weather's shaping up here with normal spring storms. Three tornadoes local but thankfully far enough aways.
Be safe, thanks for sharing and we'll see you down the road friend.
