  1. your one opportunity to title a video ‘Shooting 🔥 Photos’ and ya blew it. damn it Verbeeck.

  2. Maybe send the fire station some of those darkroom printed photos? That would be a nice little gesture.

  3. Beautiful images as always. I’d love to see some colour darkroom videos showing the process in detail as there’s not much online about it.

  4. Would love to hear more about the difference between prints and scans. I’m gotten into analog photography like 1,5 years ago, but don’t think I’m printing myself anytime soon. But still would be interesting to see, especially because the prints look so much richer!

  5. You remind me of that site of me that likes to take photos. And then I go out and take some. Thank you.

  6. Ok, now we need a GFX editing video because those look so good.

  7. you should reach out to the fire department to document them working, I think it could get picked up by a magazine too. California has a strong connection to fire and the fire department, at least from my perspective as an outsider

  8. Not sure if anyone is using the Midjourney AI generator but I typed in "Willem Verbeeck sunny side of the street" and got some pretty cool results!

  9. Love the slight motionblur on the firefighter pictures! Might not be perfect on a technical sense, but it really shows how quickly everything happens and how much action there is.

  10. Interesting comparison between prints and scans, thank you. I think I prefer the prints, so the good news is that it worth it !

  11. Fantastic video, Willem. Huge congrats on your latest New Yorker image. It’s great! A little bit Sothian, I’d say, but sunnier.

  12. Frickin Revuelto?! That’s so sick to see man!! Can’t wait for that video / the images that come with it

  13. Love the comparison Scan vs. Darkroom! How does darkroom printing work exactly? How is the digitalization process different from a scanning?

  14. Could you make a nother video where you show us your darkroom setup? And how you scan the images after printing? Which scanner do you use?

  15. I bet the fire fighters would love to get some prints for their department and families, great shots.

  16. Ohhh wow congrats on the next commission from the New Yorker Willem, that's so cool!! 😮
My girlfriend actually enjoys watching "Fresh off the boat" starring Randall Park so I had to show here your shots, so good!

  17. Great photos and awesome opportunity to see your photos in print. Congratulations! I really like the garden hose photo.

  18. I really liked this insight into your month! It would be cool if you did a video to show your typical week, when you shoot, project time, how much time you spend in darkroom, editing videos etc
