  1. I had NO IDEA they lay their eggs when snow is still on the ground!! If you want to help Mama put out a feeder for her with 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. (No need to buy hummingbird feeder mix… It's literally just sugar.) Change it about every 4-7 days or as soon as it gets cloudy.
Also, don't add red food coloring to it as it's quite toxic to the bird.
Enjoy your view and please update๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅฐ

  2. that's so cool!! I was walking my dogs and saw an empty shell about the same size, mustve been a newly hatched lil hummingbird ๐Ÿฅบ

  4. ("Sgt.J."). ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜. I, Am unaware of Seeing Humming Birds in the Winter. But, Cool thing to do. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

  5. It's too bad her nest couldn't be moved into the birdhouse.

  6. I think that medicine bottle at the top of the feeder is for feeding them. It would really help if you got a humming bird feeder. They need a lot of calories to operate in warm weather. They have to burn a lot more when there is unexpected snow.

  7. If you really want to help her put an umbrella over it and also put up a feeder with sugar water one part sugar to four parts water

  8. This mama apparently didn't migrate away and laid eggs and nested please put up a sugar water hummingbird feeder

  9. Did not figure petiteness to lay babies in winter….curious. absolutely love hummingbirds. โค๏ธ…babies be like " turn up the heat please ".๐Ÿ˜ฎโค๐Ÿ˜Š

  10. Awwww I miss not being in a husband and wife normal family life. All I ever experienced growing up, were bickering and fighting couples and I chose peace of mind for the rest of life – single with pets.

  11. WOW!!! I LOVE HUMMINGBIRDS!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS LITTLE HOUSE FOR HER AND HER BABIES!! HAS SHE MOVED IN YET???

  12. I live in Florida. The hummingbirds have already started passing through on their way north. Please put out your hummingbird feeders for these beautiful tiny creatures. There aren't enough natural foods for them, especially right now.

  13. I have a honey bird that came about 23 years ago they live about 5 years long I read and they also have a boyfriend so if you saw the other one flying around that is her little boyfriend and that they will come back to the same nesting place and she did I haven't seen her for a couple of years and she made a nest on my patio umbrella in one of the spokes I live in an area where we keep our umbrellas open she had two eggs and they they leave in the morning to go eat and they come back they lower their heartbeat overnight and that's how they don't get cold when she was gone I took a mirror and looked and there's two little tiny Gray fuzzy-wuzzies so she's sitting on those babies in this freezing cold just like this one in the video I heard some tiny little noises so I'm just waiting for them to get their feathers and I'm going to do the same thing and put a little house out there that may be the boyfriend will go in it so yeah I'm waiting for my babies to come out of the nest and fly I'm just waiting for them and I'm watching the cats they can't get up the metal pole on the umbrella smart little birdieso she lowers her heartbeat at night they can do it at will I read that's how they keep alive in this freezing cold amazing especially because she returned a few years later she looked at me and then a week later I looked and there was a nest so I can't wait for those babies to get their feathers

  14. Babies in Winter?,, they leave my state when it gets cold.
    What dO they eat?,
There's no flowers there's nothing to suckle off of๐Ÿ™€
And I know they can't go 24 hours without food.

  15. In Jamaica they are their national bird. A national symbol forbidden to kill them.๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ฒโค

  16. Wow u just ruined the entire video by clearly showing what side you are on. Throwing up the 3 6's and putting it up to your eye! SMH hell is a real place. ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ‘บ๐Ÿคก

  17. Hummingbirds can't use birdhouses. All they can do with their legs is shuffle sideways. They can't hop or walk, so they can't enter or exit a birdhouse. Please leave her alone. Your good intentions are likely to scare her off of her nest. She knows what she's doing. She chose that spot carefully. Your "help" does more harm than good.

  18. Dios los cuide mucho Gracias por su รกngel del pajarito tiene dos huevitos va a ser mamรก ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

  19. Mama hummingbird will not go in that birdhouse like a sparrow they will only build their nest on a little limb of a tree you are better off putting an umbrella overhead just hang it over her to give her protection from snow rain and winds. Once the babies are born she will not fit on them there is not enough room she will simply stay on the limb watching them please put a sugar water hummingbird feeder as soon as possible there's no flowers for her to gather nectar from and you don't want her to be far from her nest please give her nourishment ASAP this little mama hummingbird missed the migration

  20. At the beginning of covid, my husband and I found a hummingbird nest at just about the same distance from our kitchen window, only this one was in a tall bush. I watched the mama tending to her eggs every day. After a few weeks the 2 tiny eggs hatched and I got to watch her feeding them for a week or so. Then one day she never returned and I found the babies dead in the bottom of their nest.. I don't know what happened though it's likely she was killed and they starved. I cried for 2 days… This story isn't meant to be a bummer. This hummingbird family had been an affirmation to me that, though nature can be extremely cruel, even during covid life went on. I didn't realize how important they were to me and my well being until they were gone. Though it didn't end well for them, I today I am able to feel gratitude for the little time they graced our yard. โค

  21. Wow, that nest looks so precarious!
Hopefully hummingbird poop that the little feller used for glue isn't bothered by rain or wetness.
