  1. Can you use plain white clay and paint it with some kind of waterproof paint or would that not work? I need to try this!

  2. I know this may be obvious but the baking temp and time depends on the clay, I know FIMO is 110°C for 30 min but Sculpey has a temp of 135°C for 15-30 minutes depending on thickness.

Just letting people know, so they don’t over- or underbake the clay. The baking time should be on your packaging and once it’s cooled off. You can also check by pricking your nail into the piece on a place where it’s not visible, if it leaves a mark, you’re good but if you go through, put it in the oven a big longer.

  3. I tried this with Air drying clay. Huge fail they soaked up the water and got mushy.
I will have to try your method!

  4. Yes, I knew. I made a couple last year. None of the trees survived… Not sure if bonsai do well in them, because it was really hot last year and I made shohin and mame sized pots. So they might have dried out or… The clay was bad for the soil. Gonna try again, to make sure.

  5. I have no interest in bonsais but I am subscribing anyway just to listen to your accent.
