Autumn Vegetable Garden Prep // Planning Autumn & Winter Seeds // Veggie Garden Prep

Hey Everyone!

We’re at the end of summer now and preparing the veggie gardens for Autumn/Fall & Winter.

Autumn is my absolute favourite time of the year. The days are cooler and it’s so much easier to get a heap done in the vegetable garden.

We sit on the beautiful Wadawurrung country and we acknowledge the First Nations people as the Traditional Custodians of the land we live, work, grow and play on. We acknowledge and pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
We acknowledge the hardships, the horror and the harm that they suffered following colonisation and the devastating impacts of that, which are still evident and felt today.

  1. Days spent in the veggie patch are the best😁 pottering around the garden is great for the mind and body!
I hope your spinach seeds come up ok. First time we have seed saved😊 you’ll have to let me know how they go. We’ve just had a whole lot more spinach pop their heads through.YAY!
Do you have things started in seed trays aswell?
    Have a great day guys.
    Cheers D&D🌱🌺

  2. Hey Kat !! Random question: Are you guys happy with the fencing around the garden? Does it keep most everything out ?
Good plan on your next sowings.
Love the shots and music, good vibes !!
    Cheers J&C 🌱👍🌱

  3. I needed to bag over our sunflowers like you did!!! The parrots took every single one and the poor chooks missed out here.
And so great to have that supply of broad bean mulch.

  4. Thats a massive workload and a load and a half of vegie garden ridy up. Awesome work. We had a massive limb come down.. all chopped up split and more than 3 metres of wood for next season.

  5. Never scene brown bag flowers before. They look pretty 😂

  6. The paper bags are a great idea. I put net bags on mine as the flower finished after seeing nibbles in some. It’s work but nice tidying up the beds now hey!?
