Organic Gardening vs Hydroponics! Which Is Better? (Garden Talk #108)

In this episode of Garden Talk, I interview Adam Dunn. He has been gardening for 30 years and is the host of the Adam Dunn Show – which I’m sure many of you are familiar with. He has experience growing with several different types of hydroponic systems and also has experience growing organic – and that’s what he talks about in this episode; organic gardening vs hydroponics. What plants do you like to grow? Peppers, tomatoes, kale, potatoes, carrots, citrus trees, house plants, let us know in the comments section below. 1. I had to break my bud up by hand before washing. It was so organically grown tight bud. But I can only smoke so much flower.

  2. Dr Bruce seems right about organic vs synthetic, organics often taste like fertilizer to me and coco stuff is way stinkier and harder nugs. Every time i have done the folgers taste test organic always loses.

  3. Great interview with Adam. He's always much better in interviews than he is surrounded by the madness that is his own show

  4. Boop, boop, I can relate to him always trying dial in all the things, grown in soil for a while, trying DWC now for potency, flavor comparison and experiments. Watching from Jamaica! Thanks Mr Grow it!🔥💯

  5. U cant beat the sun my friend, the result is significant to indoor ,but some people have bad weather ,buuuuuut the new viparspectra xs pros are the best dude the heat out put is perfect every thing stands up and responds fast ,

  6. So it looks like it’s a matter of opinion of which is better for terpene production flavors, and overall plant health, this guy here claims that the best flavors and Turpines come off of organics, the other fella that you had on about a month ago, I think his name was Harley claim that he got the best flavors, the most Turpines, and the best prices for plants grown hydroponically. So who’s right or who is wrong or is it both the same or is it a matter of opinion?

  7. The thing that got me into salts, and kept me away from organics for so long was there is no baseline. Nobody ever said "this is all you need to grow organically." Its always "oh this is good for cell structure, and this is good for veg and you'll need this and this and the more varied the sources the better the quality" and all the sudden you need 100 imputs. Its not that complicated get a 3-3-3, worm castings and a bloom. You can do more but thats all you really need.

  8. Its unfortunate that so many guests have sponsors/products they sell. I always feel like the information is not 100% accurate and always tilts towards what pays them. I understand it, but i'd love to have unbiased information.

  9. Good interview 👍 👏 I grow organic soil greenhouse powder feeding and humic and fulvic acid plants looking good 👍 outdoor in South Africa 🇿🇦

  10. Adam seems very very knowledgeable. I think you should get somebody on the show that has a lot of success with Hydro. Personally I feel like with organic versus Hydro there isn’t really any difference in flavor just how good you grew the flower is what it comes down to.

  11. Seems a bit opinionated, makes DWC/RDWC seem hard. Been doing both out the gate, no complaints, do your research before jumping in. Automation becomes essential and makes Hydro much more enjoyable. Athena having cardboard terps, don't think JungleBoys would be in so deep with them if the terps were garbage.

  12. I think for me this episode might be the last nail in the coffin for coco. Seems undebatable by this point that full-on organic is best for quality.

  13. Big love from Belfast Chris great interview as always .Love organic growing .Have comppst bin an two worm bins .going .collect my own kelp and oyster shells from shore .keep trout and mackeral heads bones and guts .from fish i catch .only thing i buy to add to my soil is epsom salts .and blood and bone meal .Working brillant for me so much easier and better results than using salts

  14. Yo.South Portland Maine in the chat.where can I get one of those hoodies?🥦✨️Be High Be Confident
    🔥🔥🔥
