How To Lay a Flagstone Patio in Front Yard Garden

Things in the front yard and garden patio continue at a clipped pace! The how-to: flagstone and brick are soft set on crushed gravel, with a gravel soil backfill I can plant in. The new concrete walk is being poured this afternoon. Very windy and busy on today’s Wednesday Walkabout at Hill Cottage! #gardendesign #patio #frontyard #landscaping #cottagestyle

  1. Sad to say i am among the gardeners who aim to keep things from growing between the patio stones 😊. It is a charming look when Linda does it!

  2. I just LOVE how you incorporate the brick and flagstone!!!! So different then others do! Never boring!!!

  3. So many exciting things in this video. I’m so in love with the flagstone and brick pattern. I’m already looking forward to your next video. ❤

  4. Do you by any chance have family in the resort town of Kaprun, Austria? Several years ago we stayed at a wonderful hotel owned by the Vater family.

  5. We would like to see everything leave nothing out. It’s so exciting to see it taking shape.Have you seen any videos on your previous house. I visit the new owners videos because I miss that garden.

  6. That neighborhood is about to witness one hell of a transformation. They don’t know who moved into their neighborhood but they’re about to find out!! Lol Looks great already!

  7. My first thought as the video started, leave it to Linda to use brick and flagstones together! I may or may not selfishly copy!

  8. I love the front patio. It’s so perfect for the style of the house. Love the mounds of boxwoods beside the porch, too. Genius!

  9. "We are kicking arse!" Haha! It's amazing how fast you and your team are moving on this! Hi to you, Stuart, Javier, and Sergio! I'm really enjoying this fantastic new project and I check your channel daily for new videos.

  10. How wonderful your new landscape is going to be! Such fun to watch the transformation from the beginning! I love how at the end of the video you called the house “Hill Cottage”! 😉
Thank you for sharing the journey.

  11. Be true to yourself, Linda it's coming along nicely! BTW, I just ordered 4 of your black egg trellises from QVC to add to my potted herb planters–only black & galvanized were available. Ordered and loved your indoor/outdoor flameless lanterns as a trio (one of each different height) last year for my deck patio! The lanterns also came in handy when we lost electrical power in our home this winter!

  12. I don't want to brag hehehe but my son just ordered two egg topiary trellises for my Mother's Day gift ! Winner winner chicken dinner. LOL

  13. Ça Fait Plus Cottage Moderne 🤔😉…
Vous Reproduisez Quand Même Beaucoup Comme Vôtre Maison D'Avant…. Les Vrais Cottage C Pas Ça Vous Verrez Quand Vous Irez Visiter L'Invitation …

  14. Love your project.., your creativity… and your new cottage!
Your generosity & kindness towards Stewart and your workers is inspiring and what the world needs more of!
Your flower arrangements are beautiful as is your heart
Buy Stewart some boots! 😉 he’s gonna ruin those white tennis shoes!
    Love what your doing!
Thank you so much my friend!!
    You too Stewart!

  15. Love the manufacturer’s stamp is showing on the reclaimed brick. I like your elegant yet eclectic style.

  16. I can’t believe u wanted the same patio look as the last house. Thought u would want something different.

  17. What is screening is screening sand concrete dirt I've never heard that word screening and construction

  18. love the use of the reclaimed brick – Coffeyville, KS! My dad was born there! What a great touch it adds to the patio!

  19. Your backyard used to be a virtual retreat for me and so happy to see we will soon have one in the front yard of the lovely cottage as well! It’s coming along so beautifully together, Linda 🙂 …

  20. Looking fabulous. I'm so excited to see the finished product. I think I'm going to love the cottage even more then the fairytale house……

  21. I don’t think it looks like a cottage it reminds me more of a English country garden. Here cottages are usually wooden or log styled. I was wondering how it would evolve on a open corner lot. It is interesting to observe. Thanks for sharing all the process.
