Heat wave here in Massachusetts too! ๐ฅต
Salvia or spirea

I think that plant is a heuchera. I have a couple of them. Russian sage is a grayish green leafed plant with purple flowers. Itโs very hardy.
Donโt talk about the babies where they can hear you. Poor little mock oranges. My mom and dad had had those. Gorgeous, but they could grow anything.
Russian sage may be what you're looking for.
Itโs so pretty and green in your yard. I live in south Texas. No rain for weeks and none forecast. And 100+ temperatures for the foreseeable future. Everything is toast. The only thing Iโm watering is the pecan tree. This is a crop year! Anything that isnโt drought resistant Iโm waving farewell to. But, itโs amazing how real the silk flowers on my porch look from the street. Humans can adapt to just about anything – especially with the help of air conditioning. ๐
Heat wave here in Ohio too!
Love your garden and porches! I really want to try making a dish garden but will need to find plants that can withstand the Menifee CA heat. We get up into the 100's regularly. I was so happy to see your post up right after I finished watching Robin's latest thrifting video!
Love your garden and all the things you've made to decorate. ๐๐บ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฆ
Russian sage love it!
Itโs extremely hot here in New Jersey. It hit 97 at the shore with a heat index of 105. I like your garden. I have to water my flowers twice a day.
Jersey in a 2 week heat wave ugh. Poor hubby works outside landscaping. Donโt kno how he does it
Can you put in a plastic fence (Dollar Tree) so the bunnies can't get to your plants?? Garden looks lovely a wide variety of colors & plants. Happiness.๐โค๐๐พ๐ชด๐บ๐ป๐ฅ๐ ๐ซ
Beautiful gardens Nicole
My potted plants have pretty much bit the dust it's been so hot here in Iowa. Even my geraniums have died. I had an azalea bush die last year it was so hot. I don't Hornaday water my flower beds, so I'd the go, they go. Yours looks very nice.
Everything looks gorgeous Nicole! I'm envious of your green thumb. haha I love all the garden art pieces you have! I want to make some, I just need to find the right items.
Get some fertilizer that is dried blood, the deer and rabbits don't like it. Just sprinkle it around the plant, it's good for the soul to!
The plant you described sounds like a Butterfly Bush to me. There are some that get only 6 feet tall and other types can grow taller so, you may want to do some research.
Hi Nicole ๐
Dish garden!! Love!! Now that I could grow.
Your veggies garden look great
Nicole, you can over winter coleus too. It also propagates very easily…just take cuttings and root them in water just like you would pothos.
The dish garden looks so good! It really does look like bubbles.

Love your garden,
What is the name of the plant you have in the dish garden?
Thank you for showing your garden

Get Milorganite, Menards has it. Sprinkle on and around any plant critters eat. A great natural fertilizer also!
Thank you for the tour. Beautiful garden! You might be thinking of Russian sage. They are beautiful. Donโt like too much water or fertilizer, even better! Window boxes and pots are a pain to keep happy in this heat for sure. Looking forward to the next update.
I line the coconut liner with diapers to retain water.
Hi Nicole, Thank you for your garden tour. I really enjoyed it. This morning I was out in our front flowerbed weeding and watering. I put three plate flowers out there and I love the way that they look. I may be making a few more. So much fun!!
The plant your looking for might be lamb's ear
I loved your garden tour and your wonderful assortment of flowers and plants! We need rain so badly here in Texas as I have to water my plants everyday. You have a green thumb my dear! ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป๐ง
Your flowers always look so nice…..the deer eat ALL of my hydrangeas! I did just hang chunks of Irish Spring in mesh bags along a fence and they are staying away from my lilies and black-eyed Susans…..so far. We'll see! Thanks for sharing!
I would like to know where you got the solar fountain that works when the sun is iffy. I think you put it in one of your videos, but I canโt find it. Thank you for your help. I have one of the ones that only works in bright sun. Yours sounds like it is better. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy life to help me Nichole. Thanks again.
Good morning! Love the garden tour, I noticed a little puppy, metal maybe?! He is so cute! I took my hubby to Hobby Lobby last night for some spring clearance shopping, he has really been getting into decorating the garden with meโค๏ธ
Found some great solar light flowers to be accent pieces in our front flower beds. Have a blessed day๐๐ป

So pretty and so nice to see plants that aren't fried. Last week in the Dallas area we had 3 days with highs of 109. This week will be a little "cooler" with highs in the 102-104 range. I love your gardent.
Russian Sage
I enjoyed walking around your garden. Love all the art pieces you have created. Found it very calming and peaceful. Thanks for sharing ๐
Beautiful gardens!! I loved that you used โhouse plantsโ in your planters, Iโm in Connecticut zone 6 I would never think to plant like Swedish ivy or poke a dot or wondering Jew in outdoor planters, I do have a coleus I bring in and root in water all winter long. Just curious are you bringing in these plant to winter over? Especially the Swedish ivy it really makes a nice house plant.
