This Easy DIY High Tunnel Can Be Built In ANY Yard For Gardening

In this video, I share how to build a high tunnel that can be built in any yard for gardening. This easy DIY high tunnel can be built for cheap using only 4 common parts. It can fit in any yard by building it to any size you want, even in many HOA’s! You can use it as a greenhouse for season extension, frost protection and sun protection, too!

High tunnels are flexible, because they can be built over anything. You can build them over raised bed gardens, a container garden, an earth bed garden, a straw bale garden – you’re only limited to your imagination.

  1. I live near the Kansas/Oklahoma border and my backyard gets super windy. I’ll be using a modified version of this for a wind block. Thanks for the tips.

  2. Wow, MG! 👍 Great design…I will be doing something like it.😃 Thanks for doing the hard work for me!💕
You use so garden space so well.👍
So where was Dake during all that building? I don't remember seeing him running around.🐕
    "Hey" to y'all's cute boy.🐕💕

  3. Dude I love your channel so much! I've been planning on going off grid on 100 acres in the high desert of west Texas and this structure could serve many different functions.

  4. I am wondering why you chose to build it 9’ tall as opposed to 6’ or 7’? I am short so I was thinking about 6’ for me.

  5. So is the cover going to go all the way to the ground on both sides? I want to do something like this for my fig trees but not as big. I’m just worried it won’t hold up in the rainy season. I’m in zone 10a in Southwest Florida (where Ian hit in September). I know it won’t hold up in a hurricane but I’m looking just to keep the figs dry in the summer. If we have a hurricane I will bring them all inside.
