Seeds for the garden, hydroponics and being prepared! #735

I have been struggling to find good plants and seeds for the last few years. I test Survival Garden Seeds to see if they grow as indented and could be a backup emergency storage source for growing food and good seeds for our hydroponics system and garden.

  1. I'm actually ordering some seed mats right now so I can start some seeds. I'm going to try a bunch of new things. Have you tried Jerusalem Artichokes?

I ordered some of those trays with the dome and light a few hours ago.

  2. Hi, Andrew! My daughter planted her German Pink tomato seeds so her starter plants will be ready to plant outdoors after last frost. I know you are not very fond of tomatoes, but many of us around here could live on tomato sandwiches with Duke’s mayonnaise as long as we can get locally home grown tomatoes. I’m going to tell her to watch this video.

  3. Just ordered the Homesteader pack. Thanks for sharing the info. I’m gonna give them a try.

  4. Hi Andrew another good review!! You sure come up with good sensible stuff. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦

  5. You could transforrm some of your raised beds into hoop greenhouses, make those on a frame that you can tilt/lift from the beds and you can give a number of plants an early start. The channel "lumnah acres" did this until a few years ago to grow unions, garlic and other vegetables up north (new Hampshire if I am not mistaken). That might be the trick to be able to grow two crops in succession.

  6. bring on the diy…….I amazon bought the starter kit when you did the first video on them but soon saw all the diy videos out there…man you can go crazy with it.
PVC pipe/HYDRO NFT is so easy and starting in cotton balls in those green 12 packs is the way to go.

  7. Boy that makes me wish I could plant a garden! A lot of great vegetable seeds and some flowers too. You should have a really good garden with a lot of variety this year! Hope you don’t get the drought like Texas had last year!🤨

  8. I've purchased the same mini greenhouse seed starters. My kids found some old seeds in the kitchen junk drawer so we're giving it a go with them.
My 9 year old absolutely loves salad so we're doing an entire mini greenhouse in lettuce.

    Thanks Andrew. Love your content.

  9. I've got to have that bee pollinator tool. Didn't know something like that existed. That's going to be really helpful.

  10. That's a wonderful set! There's a very disturbing thing occuring over there: contaminated soil being sold as organic, watch the latest video @Roots and Refuge Farm. Jess explained it so well. I was so upset to see what's going on.

  11. Great job Andrew. You always give the best descriptions of the items you test.
