  1. I want to know how to make the strawberry lemonade concentrate, and the homemade seasoning salt mix. I thought it was going to be posted in the description but I haven’t found it.

  2. I share your excitement for this project! I love everything you've chosen to do! You're definitely going to be busy with the gardens. I don't think I'd be able to do that, 65 year old energy is a lot different than 30 something energy! I'm so happy for you Becky. 💓

By the way, as a chicken owner, I completely agree with your choice for the chicken pen. We keep ours in a large pen. They're happy AND protected from coyotes.

  3. What does a job like this cost? I would love to do this with my property, but can't imagine this being affordable for me..

  4. I appreciate your honesty. People have different preferences, and I would prefer not free ragene chickens as well. And some other people make you feel shamed for that. Thank you for your voice!

  5. Becky the walkway is so beautiful and I’m so looking forward to seeing the perennial flower beds and it all come together😍
I love that you are gifting jam to the workers-it’s one of my favorite things to do-gifting jams and homemade goodies as a thank you! I feel everyone genuinely appreciates it!

  6. TIP about the chickens, pay attention the time when they go to roost. We let our girls out an hour before they go to roost. They will naturally stay near the coop and will automatically go to roost by themselves. Our girls can cause a huge amount of damage in a short period of time and even though we love to have them free range we also know the amount of damage they can cause. Try even for a half hour before they naturally go to roost and see what they do. Good luck Becky!! I love how your plans are coming together so beautifully!!!

  7. Don't forget to use potting soil to fill all those beds with. Not just regular dirt. Looks really nice!

  8. I'm so jealous! Looks great! They are making progress. I agree with your choice to stay with one tone of gray for the walkway. 🙂

  9. Ur place is going to be so beautiful ur planting n ur area is amazing . That over look by the hill is gorgous ur trees are beautiful n the visual is looking so nice . Ur beds will be so pretty all the flowers gosh just imagining it looks great … what a blessing for u & ur family what a beautiful journey for u & ur family … So nice ..👍❤️

  10. Becky, I'm SOOOO EXCITED for you!! It's going to look SO BEAUTIFUL when done. And not only for you and us, but for the neighbors below you. I would be HAPPY to live there and look out my window and see such a BEAUTIFUL garden and landscape up the hill. I hope this means we will be able to be right here with you for YEARS to come.

  11. Hi Becky! It looks amazing! I just have a question, were will all the tomatoes and tomatillos be?
Same with all the potatoes, will you grow all of them in raised beds or will there be a designated potato area and/or tomato/tomatillo patch with trellises like at your last homestead?

  12. I hope you have better luck than I did with cedar raised beds. Mine were 4 x 8 and bowed immediately. The soil ran out the bottom whenever it rained. Pulled out the rotted boards within 5 years and gave up. In my area deer, rabbits, and groundhogs will obliterate a garden overnight unless fenced.

  13. Why on earth would you need 20 beds? Do you remember you only need to feed 20 people? It's getting old, watching stuff purely made for content. A real homestead minded person would never hire for such projects, she would've used the existing beds, waited a year to observe her new land and MOSTLY … never would've sent all those beautiful trees to the dump.

You know Becky, homesteading is more than just cooking for 10 people every day …

  14. Have workers put a matching cedar board placed wide across the cement blocks in previous strawberry area. Would tie it together nicely. Looks great!

  15. Hi Becky love your vlogs. I’m trying some of your truly inspiring recipes may I just ask please I read that if you are using an acidic ingredient in a marinade it can alter the texture of your meat. Have you found this to be true and if so how was it altered. Thank You in advance. 🙏❤️💙💚💜

  16. Was their any thought to an opening in the rock wall so you can go straight down from the patio steps?

  17. If I tried to steal my husbands shoes they would look like clown shoes and i'd probably break my nose. hahaha his hoodies however…

  18. I had another bright idea, faux flowers, you know, there are some colorful faux accents at dollar tree, you could at times, stick some of them into the small evergreen shrubs you may be growing, to give them some pop, and then when done, donate or recycle.

  19. Deer fencing is 8' high, and more of a netting… hopefully you'll get some good stuff going.

  20. I would love to see a video with really transparent cost information on these garden projects! While I do know cost will vary from area to area, I’d love to know a rough idea of what to expect cost wise for projects myself. It would be very helpful!

  21. Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I planted some seeds indoors last week and a few of them are already sprouting!! I'm so excited! This will be my first garden in a long time and I can't wait to get started. I also bought a electric pressure canner.

  22. Becky! I have been following from almost the beginning and I’m so excited to see this new garden grow. I love that “we” get to do it “together!”
Keep being you because that is what we love! Your views count and subscriber count proves that! I have seen people with over a million subscribers get maybe 58 k views on a video continuously where you are getting 400k plus per video! It means you are doing this right and you are just being yourself! ❤❤

  23. It will be interesting to see if the perennials that would survive in the ground in her climate survive in raised beds.

  24. Hi Becky , everything looks amazing, love the front walk way. Your garden is going to be awesome. We had peonys and from what I remember there were always a lot of ants around them, but they are a big beautiful flower. Can't wait to see the front when it's all done. Thanks for sharing.

  25. It’s looking great! FYI I received my first butcherbox order yesterday and tried the hamburger for tonight’s dinner. It was the best burger I’ve ever had! Thanks for introducing me to them. I can’t wait to see you get your new garden going.

  26. We know a guy who sells the pressure treated lumber said nowadays that they are safe and actually licked the lumber…..so it is a safe way in the NC South.

  27. I am so excited to see the progress! Your face lights up when you talk about gardening!! Thought for you…. plant your pumpkins in a bed on the far end or far from the house so they can wander in that beautiful acreage! Also did you think about a scatter garden? My grandfather would just toss flower seeds in a space in his yard and he would be surprised to what popped up and when. Just random polenators, he was given or saved over year could be fun!

  28. As far as keeping your chickens in a run, I was looking last night at gardeners supply and thinking about getting a critter cage (in my case to keep the rabbit from nibbling all my plants to death), but for you, it could prove to be a nice temporary run for them while you wait for a more permanent solution.

  29. Do they have boring grey flowers? Let me know. I know there are black pansies, and tulips but beyond that I'm stumped.
