True about Mercato
I myself do not like citi3s. I don't fly anywhere never have. If you're a believer in the Lord father of the heavens. Even th3y know how it's going to end th3y can't slow it down. To me it's separating people. To keep you from being with other's. They already destroyed the Earth wonder why th3y didn't think of this 100 years ago. They got all these fir3s that's breaking out three more just the other day. Three more this week or so. And all this man mad3 w3ather. I lived ounce in housing apartments. Everybody knows your business. They can't get along with each other. They're either too noisy loud music. Partying banging on your walls. Or either hitting on you and your spouse. I lived about three years of that living in Tenn My husband calls them beehive apartm3nts . People can't be kind in comm3nts or on platforms . Th3yd be ready to tear each other apart living close.
Couple points:
1. I used to drive 1.5 hours — each way — for work in MD just outside of DC. Roughly 25 minutes of that was just due to traffic.
2. I don’t see how they can fit in various stores, various doctors offices, schools, libraries, parks, etc. within 15 minutes and have any of them be of any significant size.
3. I don’t think the concept is horrible BUT they should never be able to force people or control their travel.
4. Who the heck wants to walk 15 minutes home lugging groceries? That’s a lot of mugging waiting to happen!
if you live in CA and your job is 5 miles away you will be stuck on the freeway for 2 hours every day!
why are you so afraid of 15 minute cities? you make it sound like prison. you can still come and go where and when you please. some people may find it convenient, and if you don't like 15 minute cities, don't live in one.

This concept comes directly from the UN's Agenda 21/2030 plans, signed onto by most countries including the US way back in 1992 at a not ever very talked about meeting in Rio. Anytime you see the word "sustainable" just know that it is NOT to help people and comes from Agenda 21.
