Growing Vegetables At Home For Rice Bowls | Rice bowls are one of my favorite dinner recipes to whip up on busy work days especially during spring and winter months when leafy greens grow aplenty in our backyard edible garden. Rice bowls are nutritious, easy to prepare and perfect weeknight dinner. On this video, I steamed rice, then sprinkled with furikake and topped with leftover rib-eye steak, sauteed leafy greens, medium-boiled egg and pickled ginger. YUM! The other version I used black rice and barley, three varieties of lettuce, chicken cooked in the air fryer and pickled ginger. We are growing three varieties of lettuce on the raised garden beds – freckled lettuce, amanda and romaine.
