GARDENER EARNINGS: Jan 2022 vs Jan 2023- How much money can you make?

How much money does a gardener earn? I compare my earnings for my first year running a gardening business compared to my second year running a gardening business in December. Winter is a hard time for any gardener or landscaper and I did this video to help people who are thinking about starting up to give them the reality. This is my personal experience of running my garden maintenance business

  1. Watching from Portugal mate flying home tomorrow 🙌🏼

Thank you so much for the kind words lovely to chat on the phone last Thursday

Only ever a message away bro 🙌🏼💪🏼

  2. Well done mate. I’m be watched you the beginning and it’s really nice seeing you progress. Good luck with the future you’ll smash it.

  3. Hi Adam, early years are difficult in this buissiness, so the best of luck.
Regarding monthly earnings this will vary depending on individuals circumstances.
As a rule of thumb 365 days in a year ,minus roughly 4 weeks holiday, minus Sundays, and Saturday afternoons, plus Bank Holidays leaves about 250 working days at 8hrs a day, 2000 working hrs a year there or about if running a professional business.
Any one starting out needs to bear this in mind ,25yrs in the trade and still learning, sounds a lot of hrs to work but necessary if anyone may be thinking of applying for a mortgage to draw a decent salary.
And professional advertising in local papers cost but very financially rewarding over local facebook pages which seem to attract cheap customer's.

  4. Well done mate, great to see how your business has progressed from the start 💯

  5. Good to see your progressing. You will feel much better soon . Sunshine, spring, colour and busy allotment activities etc coming soon …. 😀

  6. I insist all my regular clients are a minimum of 11 months of the year so earnings don’t drop much off too much in Dec/Jan/feb. My costs don’t change across the year so I can’t afford earnings to.

  7. You've made fantastic progress year on year. For me, word of mouth is the best form of business. Keep doing a good job and people will happily recommend you and chances are if your customer is decent then the person they recommend you to will also be.

  8. Hi mate I’m a gardener looking in to getting some pressure washing jobs. On a previous video You said you charge £3 per square meter for cleaning and sanding, how much would you charge for cleaning slabs and tarmac as they don’t need sanding after?
