  1. Are you 100% safe from another cold front coming through? Last year I did a bunch of pruning and cleanup right before the end of Jan frost and my garden took a lot more damage then if I would have waited.

  2. What is that pretty yellow flower to the right of the trellis? I recognize it as a wildflower but cannot remember the name.

  3. Where do you buy those tools? Where do you prefer to buy? They are very comparable. Buy where you shop the most.

  4. I also live in S Florida but on the other coast. I use a yard umbrella to give me shade and just move it around as needed. I also take a large electric fan outside and point it at myself. As crazy as that sounds the breeze helps so much.

  5. That is one lush February garden, even for Florida! So many flowers!
Sunlight is so important for the garden. My little lemon tree was looking distinctly UN-ornamental, then I had my oak trees trimmed. Voila! Light came in, and less than a week later, the lemon tree is covered in bloom and new leaves, and is again a traffic stopper and conversation piece.
On the tools, instead of being caught in the analysis trap, can you shout out to friends, family, neighbors, and borrow some key tools? It will also give you a chance to try out some things to see what works for you?

  6. I got over a 1/2 inch of new soil finding my sidewalk again 😂 here in the coastal bend in south Texas. It’s amazing and I decided it would be perfect for my carrot bed. Have never been able to buy the kind of dirt my lawn naturally makes. Thank you for the Mexican petunias tip 💪🥳 and for the motivation to get out and work in 75 winter temperatures. Tress are on my list this week so I will work in those areas first before we trim up our shade cover 🥰

  7. I love all your videos! Thank you especially for this video, I really wanted to ask you to show me how far down I could cut my Firebush and you did before I could even ask. 😂😅😊

  8. Great job. I finally talked my husband into a spot to put a fire bush. So I'm on the search for a place to get one near me.

  9. I like EGO battery operated garden tools. I can't compare to the others you mentioned because I have not used those, but we have the edger, lawn mower, and blower in EGO. We haven't had any trouble with them and they are not super heavy. I just clip my hedges, because I don't usually do an even cut my hedges, but I can see where a hedger would be useful if I did level off my hedges. Good luck with your decision!

  10. Two most interesting people to have a conversation with, our little people and our elderly. Loved watching your conversation with your little guy. Yard is looking good.

  11. I’m thinking about getting a mulberry tree! Can you describe what they taste like to you? I’ve read about it, but would love to hear an actual person’s perspective 😊

  12. I designed a butterfly garden for my college campus focusing on native plants providing nectar year round, along with food for birds and host plants for caterpillars. I would love to go over this with you if that's alright! Where could I send my presentation?

  13. Good job getting the front cleared. Fiskar's makes a great product and holds up well to my abuse. Game changer when you start using battery operated tools.

  14. If you take your machete to the frogfruit on the sidewalk it makes quick work. Just chop along the sidewalk edge and scooch the chopped stuff towards you

  15. I’m definitely a Dewalt girl. Every single piece of equipment we have is dewalt so we can use the same batteries. Our big reason why we like them over the others is just their durability. We still have dewalt tools from a decade ago that we beat up on a regular basis and they just keep going. I only want to have to buy a tool once so that’s why my vote is for dewalt.

  16. Great video! I was trimming my fire bush and started to think I may want another one. Can you show us how to propagate one?

  17. Went to a big box store today and went through the garden section because it makes me happy haha. Got a dwarf banana tree with 2 pups on clearance ♡ had I not seen your videos on bananas I would have bought a nonproducing plant haha. I transplanted the last of my cold crop seedlings to the ground today and am in need of some seed tray for warm weather starts. 9b. ♡
    I also raked

  18. You should take a shovel and edge along your sidewalk. It takes a lot less time and works extremely well. You don’t even need an edger. I have one that I never use because a shovel does so much better and you can dig up the weeds while you’re doing it.

  19. If you get a tool with rechargeable battery, try to find one which is the mfg's most recent model. Eventually those rechargeable batteries keep their charge less and less. if you can no longer find replacements then the tool is now useless. Had this happen before and negated a whole brand of tools we had. I think they plan it that way lol. Personally I've started to consider getting ones that are just regular old electric, as you can always just pull out the extension cord. Plus, don't have to stop to recharge.

  20. The struggle is real. Just did my cutting and cleanup before we get back in the 90s (hopefully the groundhog was correct). Removing all the Salvia (and spanish needle) from the flower beds so my wildflowers can reseed is the biggest chore. Dewalt is the best but Ryobi is a satisfactory cheaper alternative for homeowner use. I also use a gas weedeater for edging. I have sunshine mimosa for my front yard and have to edge it regularly in warmer months.

  21. As far as power tool recommendations go,
Milwaukee, ryobi, and even walmarts hart line are all owned by the same company, biggest difference is price and some construction/engineering designs. I have used all 3, liked Milwaukee because of its strong build, hart is good for lightweight as well as price and ryobi was a good middle
There is also Dewalt which is owned by Stanley black and decker which I would say is the company's been product line and very similar to ryobi.
And ego is what I currently use with the size of my yard, have about 3 acres of orchard and other plants, they have by far the most power however are definitely an investment.

  22. Normally I do not watch a clean up video because I do not learn much from them, but since I liked the channel I watched it. You have talent since you can make a yard clean up channel interesting.

  23. My garden is my gym so I keep that as my mantra when I'm out there doing the manual physical stuff.

  24. Will you talk about how you made your trellises in your front yard? Thank you 🙂
