  1. What a knowledgeable man ❤️ and Lady Spencers awareness and respect for Althorp and its history is wonderful to see ❤️

  2. The past was interesting, but I think it would also be smart to use modern knowledge.
Did you send soil samples to a labotory ?
For getting strong trees its probably wise to ad nutrients to the soil, things like potassium and micros.
I am retired organic farmer and seen lots of mistakes made by people going organic and myself.

  3. wow, just every single bit of this video gladdens my heart. It feels so wholesome, what you are doing there.

  4. Did not know that about the plum trees, quite magical really and it brings to mind images of illustrations from a fairy story. Wonderful work though, and it's good to see a new generation putting their stamp so thoughtfully on the estate.

  5. As always the respect for the history and legacy of the location combined with the future view of hundred(s) year old trees makes for a goal worth achieving. I really like what this generation of the Spencer's are doing with the place. It is a joy to watch.

  6. This entire project makes me glad!! Thank you for sharing these lovely tidbits as the restoration progresses. I adore the 'gardener's cottage'!

  7. Can´t wait to see how this will turn out. The orchard seems to be a special place waiting to be awakened.

  8. Can't wait to see this garden when it been restored to how it was back then.lovely how you bring althorp alive.. Althorps past generations would be so proud. ❤️

  9. Being I live about 40 miles from Adams County Pennsylvania, one of the prevalent fruit, esp apple growing areas I think it would be awesome if some of the knowledgeable growers could visit and share their experience and knowledge with those planning Althorpe's orchard. I'm so proud of.all that I see being done here and I'm just an American gardener and land steward

  10. Thank you for sharing this interesting information from a very interesting person. Lady Spencer I hope you are able to get that Garden the way you would like it, hopefully within the next few years we will be able to see what it looks like with the new trees. Thank you so much for sharing.

  11. Of course they have had a number of experts consult on the project. The Earl Spencer writes each of them a cheque! Wonderful project, but lots of money is required to make it happen.
